Description:H.E.S is an ingredient of Pelleted Grain Ration (PGR) and is used to increase protein, fat and energy levels in a horse's diet.
Since the protein source is highly digestible, side effects are minimized. Often used during times of heavy training, lactation or large enery consumption. Also referred to as "Topline in a bag".
Directions:
Feed 1/2 lb. (0.25 kg) up to 1 1/2 lbs (0.75 kg) daily per 1000 lbs of body wight (depending on exercise level) along with the regular ration. Always divide into two equal feedings. It is best to introduce this
concentrate slowly to allow the digestive system to adjust. Example: Feed a small handful per feeding for the first two days, then double each day until the optimum level is reached.
